I absolutely loved the decoration at Alaind Lodges. The hotel had such a warm and cozy atmosphere, with beautiful furnishings and welcoming colors. It made me feel right at home. The general areas of the hotel were also very well-kept and clean. I appreciated that everything was easily accessible for us seniors, from the comfortable seating in the lounge area to the well-maintained garden where we could relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. It was truly a delightful place to spend our vacation.
If I had to ask for one thing to make the vacation even better for us seniors, it would be more assistance from the children working there. While they were very friendly and helpful, it would have been nice to have someone specifically dedicated to catering to the needs of older guests.

The location of Alaind Lodges was absolutely perfect for exploring the beautiful mountains and valleys around Sneem. We were able to go on breathtaking hikes and soak in the stunning scenery. The village of Sneem itself had such a charming character, with lovely restaurants and cafes to enjoy a leisurely meal or a cozy cup of coffee. Fergal, our host, was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about the area, serving as a fantastic walking guide. The lodge itself was impeccably clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, providing a cozy and inviting atmosphere for a relaxing stay. We truly felt at home during our time there, thanks to the warm and friendly hosts, Trish and Chris. In fact, they went above and beyond to make my partner's birthday extra special by surprising us with a birthday cake at breakfast. It was such a thoughtful gesture that left a lasting impression. The breakfast itself was excellent, with freshly cooked and carefully prepared dishes. And for those who appreciate the little details, it was wonderful to have tea and coffee readily available. The rooms were spacious and lovely, offering a comfortable space to unwind after a day of exploring. Plus, the availability of a hairdryer was a nice touch. Parking was convenient and easily accessible, right in front of the house. We also appreciated the recommendation to visit the Pink Bar in the village for dinner and drinks, which didn't disappoint. we had an amazing stay and we would highly recommend Alaind Lodges to anyone seeking a genuine local experience surrounded by nature.

The common areas were beautifully decorated with warm colors, comfortable furniture, and charming details. It felt like being in a welcoming home away from home. As a senior woman, I found the hotel's accessibility excellent. The hallways were wide enough for me to navigate with ease, and there were handrails in the right places to provide extra support if needed. It was such a relief to find a hotel that truly catered to the needs of older guests like myself.
I wish there were more activities specifically designed for senior people. While the staff at Alaind Lodges was incredibly helpful and friendly, it would have been nice to have some activities or excursions tailored to our age group.

I absolutely loved the cozy and charming decor of Alaind Lodges. The hotel had a warm and inviting atmosphere, with comfortable seating areas and beautiful artwork on the walls. It felt like I was staying in a home away from home. As a senior person, I appreciated how accessible the hotel was. The hallways were wide and well-lit, making it easy for me to navigate with my walking cane. The staff was also very helpful and accommodating, always ready to assist me whenever I needed it.
If I had to suggest one improvement for senior travelers, it would be the addition of handrails in the bathrooms. As we get older, balance becomes more important, and having handrails would provide extra support and safety.
